Milwaukee‑born phenom & Buffalo’s house pro, celebrated for his precision banks and fearless play
Born and raised in West Allis, Wisconsin (a suburb of Milwaukee), Sergio Rivas picked up a cue at age 10 and quickly developed a reputation for his bank‑shot precision. Early press reports noted that the young prodigy honed his skills playing at home with his father and was already competing in regional tournaments while still in middle school.
By age 13, Sergio was taking on professionals at national events like the Super Billiards Expo while balancing his classes, and a few months later he went undefeated to claim the Billiard Education Foundation’s Junior National 9‑Ball Championship (14‑and‑Under division). Those results cemented his status as one of the sport’s most exciting prospects.
Today, Rivas serves as the house professional at Buffalo’s Billiards near New Orleans, where he continues to refine his game and mentor up‑and‑coming players. Recent top‑ten finishes at the Derby City Classic, U.S. Open 10‑Ball and U.S. Open Bank Pool have propelled him up the AZBilliards money leaderboard, confirming his ascent on the professional circuit.
